This may sound corny, but many lives are at stake….

I’m writing to you on behalf of a large part of the Dutch population. Like you I choose to remain anonymous for now.

What am I writing about? A very large oil and chemicals terminal in the harbour of Rotterdam has been leaking and emitting benzene and other carcinogenic substances for well over 15 years now. Very high concentrations have been detected in neighbourhoods in local towns in the area. I’ve been working for this company for little over a year and have discovered and copied over 15 gigs of evidence. Naturally I tried to submit this to the proper authorities only to find myself subject of investigations instead of the company. In other words, government protects the enormous financial interests and not the interest of the people. With some national reporters I’ve managed today to get it on national tv and currently it’s trending topic on Twitter and other social media (or so I’ve heard).

I’ve been putting together a movie with evidence I’d like to post on the internet (and go viral if possible) to get as much attention as possible. The movie is in Dutch. Althought this is not your normal cup of tea I’m hoping you’d be willing to help me out on this one. The company also relies heavily for it’s operations on the connection with headquarters in Bergen, Norway. Their SAP system which controls all major operations and manipulations on site is controlled from HQ. Should any of you feel up for the challenge, some disruption would probably get their attention as well :o)

The company is Odfjell Terminals Rotterdam B.V., part of the odfjell.com group.

The current movie is in Dutch, but I’d be happy to translate if needed.
