You might want to google “Zuffa xyience fraud”.
Rough notes:
-Zuffa owns the UFC, a fight promotion
-Zuffa controls (but does not completely own) Xyience, a small supplement and energy drink company
-Zuffa uses shell companies like “Bevanda Magica” (“Magic Drink”), “Zyen” and “Manzen” to funnel money through Xyience and back into the UFC, making it look like UFC has a wealthy sponsor
-Zuffa uses the seemingly very profitable UFC to borrow $350 million
-Zuffa owners Frank and Lorenzo Fertitta and Dana White pay themselves massive “bonuses” from this borrowed money and also buy out competitor PRIDE FC
-Zuffa then allows the public company Xyience to go bankrupt, so they can buy up the whole company cheaply themselves. Xyience stock holders are left with nothing and sue. The case is settled privately.
-PRIDE FC is shut down by Zuffa, which eliminates the biggest competitor to the UFC worldwide
-The UFC goes on to become the largest MMA promotion in the world, arguably a monopoly
Court cases relating to this are ongoing. All these facts can be verified.
